From 1980 to present, Mr. McNeill has been the Manager of McNeill Investment Company, a privately-owned family investment company with investments in banking, agriculture, real estate, chemical operations and equity markets. During his tenure, he oversaw the development of over 25 projects with a combined value in excess of $600 million. As President of Mineral Development, Mr. McNeill oversaw a limerock mining joint venture with IMC Global, a predecessor of The Mosaic Company, that supplied limerock under long-term contract for animal feed plants. Mr. McNeill also served as chairman of Imperial Phosphates Inc. which owned and operated a facility that produced chemical phosphate fertilizers. Through his role with these companies, he has developed excellent relationships with the key players related to the phosphate industry, including landowners, major mining companies, chemical companies, vendors and other key stakeholders. He has significant experience in dealing with the acquisition of real property, negotiating mineral rights and working with governmental agencies related to obtaining required approvals.
In addition, Mr. McNeill has held several other executive positions with various companies over the years in several industries, including CEO of Outback Sports (a division of Outback Steakhouse), President and CEO of Viasys Services, Inc., a specialty contractor working for Departments of Transportation with over 900 employees and annual revenue in excess of $100 million. Mr. McNeill attended the University of Florida and the University of South Florida (“USF”). He graduated from USF in 1979 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and marketing.
